This is an duplicate headshell & cartridge, from a TD 124 Thorens Turntable,I picked up today...It is in a large cabinet & I have do not have pics of the unit,as of now...Does this belong to a particular tonearm??...Is It custom?...The Stainless Steel "Robotic" Shape..Giives it a 1950`s-60`s vibe...Any help appreciated.
Post pics of the whole thing when you can. Thorens stuff always was/is top shelf. Just the head is a cool piece. Great "period" design. Love to see the whole unit.
Since we're on this..... I have watched for something that would work in the myriad stuff about my house, including pens, and cannot find a simple pin for my Magnavox console stereo so I can take the changer rod out/off. I don't stack albums so it's a pain to keep fooling with that mechanism. Anyone have one or two of those pins? I don't usually play 45s but just bought a bunch and I could use one of the short 45 gadgets that slip over the pin too. Anyone? Than you!
it will fit on any standard round slip over and tighten record player , yes you do have a very old headshell and it would be to heavy for today's record players and the needle is probably gone and would slide across the record if you tried to use it. but it could be used still if the diamond is still okay and the wires are still soldered (which they don't look to me )thorens is top of the line
Thank you all, for your input...It is a 1950`s Rek-O-Kut PS-20 Headshell....Amazing,what you learn when picking...I Love It!!!...Here are some pics of the turntable.
