Recent acquisition, looks cast and then finished by hand, relief is quite deep (~1/8"). Pot stands 10" high. Heavy-ish, traces of tinning but P.O. polished surface, :( under base dark oxidization.

    Any info/opinions gladly received. copper-pot.jpg

    It is beautiful, blooey.
I would say Persian, with a slight possibility of Indo-Persian (which includes Kashmir).
    Could we see the base?

Persian would be good! ...I'll try to get a shot of the base soon - thanks!

Yes, Persian, probably 19th century, Qajar dynasty. In Persian and Indo-Persian metalware, copper is almost always Persian. The other regions are more likely to use a brass-like alloy or a combination of metals, showing the different colours.

Beautifully made! If there is no polishing paste remains, I'll leave it as is, the look is nice:)
