Wood Carved Wild Cat Head

    I guess a hobbyist piece. What wild cat do you think it is supposed to be?

    What area did it come from? It could be a panther or a mountain lion. It's pretty.I like the ears.

    I doubt this is a hobbyist piece. More likely an import. Maybe Mexico or points further South.

    Ditto to Brad. Made for sale, and in quantities.

    And it does seem a smaller cat than the African lion.

    I'd say it's symbolic of the largest wild cat in the western hemisphere. The cougar, mountain lion, puma, panther, or catamount. And those are the same animal, just called different names depending on its territory or coloring. About the same size as the lynx, but yours has bigger, less pointy ears.
