Wallingford silver compote

    Hi All,
    I don't think I ever posted this piece. It is a Wallingford compote M22. It is severely dinged up. Would I be better off selling it intact or as scrap? It's weighted of course. I seem to remember someone had a formula to calculate the actual silver weight.

    Without the damage they can go for a fair amount, but how the heck do you perfectly restore a mashed piece for an affordable price ? I'd reckon (as an amateur)- it'd be almost impossible ?
    -but I could be wrong.
