Antique Plaques?

Hi, I'm wondering if anybody might be able to help me with these old wall plaques that belonged to my grandmother. They are very heavy and maybe copper or bronze?

Looks like 1970s decor.

 

These seem better done than 70s décor but anything is possible. Do look like they could be bronze. Not sure that the wood they are mounted to looks original Can we see the backs and how they are attached? Any marks? Easily removed to look for marks on back? Size?

Taking another look this morning. Brad may be right.

I focused on the metal and not the wood. The wood looks to be oak.
You didn't give size. Are there hinge marks on the back of the wood? Could these have been cabinet doors?

 

Laura, do you know how long your grandmother had these? They do look old to me, but I'm not an expert.

And the size would be good to know. In the first picture, it is next to a pail/bucket. But it's hard to tell how big that bucket is.
