Eyeball Looking Cufflinks Help

    Hi,
    To me these look like eyeballs - is there a name for them? No marks other than for gold-filled and patent number for the stems.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    they look like shells.
    Or they could be actual fish eyes....

    But since I can only see a photo.....I can't be sure of anything.....
    Or at least so I've been told !!!
