Could your system , when finished , also be tailored to handle other small images, like stamps , or cabinet cards , or even cameo's ..???

Yes, in principle it should be possible. The main system is based on image analysis, classification and extracting useful information, so it could probably be adapted for stamps, cabinet cards, old photographs and similar material.

The difficult part would be creating the right rules and reference data for each category, because every type of collectible has its own details. But technically the same basic approach could be reused.
