Rock Crystal or glass necklace?

I' m sure the experts here can tell at a glance if this necklace is rock crystal or glass.

 

I think the AB (aurora borealis) finish rules out rock crystal. The way the metal has corroded also argues against stone.

 

It looks very like a vintage Swarovski AB "crystal" necklace I used to have.
Swarovski "crystal" is actually a high quality manufactured crystal glass, not a natural mined gemstone.
Note that I'm not saying that yours is Swarovski, there were/are many imitators.

 

They're definitely glass with an AB coating. They were copied not long after by the Japanese. You need a loupe to really tell which is which. On Swarovski, all of the points/corners line up. These don't look like they do.

Put some of each side by side. Look at them under a loupe. It's hard to put into words, but easy to see when side by side.

 

Do you mean the way the beads are cut/faceted, each one lines up with the next?
