Older? Kugel? Ornaments

Hi All,
Looking for some guidance with these, please. The round ones are 12 inch circumference. The gold and green weigh about 9.4 ounces. The red weighs 3.7 oz and the pear shaped weighs 2.4 oz. Are the heavier 2 older kugel and the others newer? What would old and new mean price wise? I have others to go through. thank you for looking!

 

This one weighs 5.2 oz and has a mold line.

 

These weigh about 1.4 oz each

 

all are new/modern pieces, no idea on prices for them. You should look at real Kugels and you will see the difference in the glass and the tops

That reminds me I have a box of teeny tiny vintage ornies in the box, I should put up for sale. They scare the heck out of me to ship.

Love old ornaments but in my ignorance didn't realize some of the 'seemingly' simple glass balls could approach this !
I passed-up 3 or 4 boxes of these a few months ago,I think they were $4 ea. You think they fetch much these days ?

 

Shiny Brite tends to sell well here (Indiana). The round ornaments don't fetch as much as the fancier shapes. Condition is important too as some of the finishes crack and/or flake. I would probably have passed at $4 if only selling on eBay. There's a little money to be made there but not enough to take the risk of damage in shipping. I didn't do an indepth analysis but there are over 14,000 listings for Shiny Brite ornaments on eBay right now. The original boxes certainly help. In my showcase I would probably price them at about $12 a box and expect a quick sale.

 

I shudder each time I read something like this: US Americans or Brits using a regular German term as if it's a brand name (here: "Kugel"). It sounds weird as heck as it's a "Christmas tree ornament", not a "Christmas tree ball".

On the other hand you probably are quite lucky ... Germans love compound words and this simple decoration could have ended up being called "vorweihnachtlicher Christbaumkugel-Dekorationsgegenstand" (pre-Christmas Christmas-tree-ball-decoration object).

 

And then there is "Stein", for a stoneware tankard.
