Old or New Brass Candlestick ?

Just saw this today, and I'm pretty sure they're more modern Vietnamese (saw one similar on Ebay), but also saw others listed for $300 to $1300 (?).
Sorry I was brainless and shot only one pic-tough to date history w/ a single image. Price-$65 a pair,12"-14" high, and heavy.
Anny/all feedback welcome ! Candle 1 pic-unretouched / Candle 2 pic-sharpened & darkened to accentuate detail.

 

not a stick I'm familiar with....India comes to mind though...

but , with a little research...... a Dutch design.....maybe France..??/

Thanks Komo- Yep, the design is classic and $65 a pair seemed reasonable even if newer. These classic forms can be tough and since I rarely ever handle 14th to 18th brass (or anything !)-it's a challenge.
Living in the UK or Europe you get to see the 'real thing' up close on a regular basis and actually touch it, not in the States.
That's why it's so mind-blowing when Anders finds 17th-18th Cent chargers in the States, let alone for that cheap.

Yes, we call it a 'schijfkandelaar', disc candlestick, made and used in the Low Countries since Medieval times. Also known as VOC-kandelaar and Heemskerkkandelaar, both historic terms from post-Medieval times.
I am currently looking at a later model from the 17th-18th century, it lives right behind the screen of my laptop.

 

My 17th-18th century VOC / Heemskerk candlestick, the miniature next to it dates from the first half of the 19th century:



The miniature has a flat disc like yours.
