Does anyone know this maker?

I couldn't find this maker mark. And what can you tell me about the stones? Thank you.

 

Maybe Fritson Toledo? Altough he signs his full name, but it could be:

The stones are turquoise imo. Could be Hubei, which is also used by NA makers.

 

There are no Spanish assay marks, and it isn't like any Spanish Toledo jewellery I've seen.

 

Turquoise , possibly from the Supernova and Aztec mines at Royston.

The matrix on Marko's stones is much darker, and the turquoise is lighter.
Gorgeous stones though.

The stones are very light blue. I did use Google lens before I posted, there are a few Toledo Native American silversmiths.

 

It's also a surname. It's in use in the Phillippines, I knew a lady with that surname, and if it turned up in the US southwest I wouldn't be surprised.

To me these look dyed, and brown matrix usually means magnesite. (like I'm some sort of expert) The OP's look like the real deal .

I can't help with the mine, that's well above my pay grade, but I can add the money side since nobody has yet.

Toledo is a common Navajo surname and there are several working silversmiths using it, so a mark reading Toledo doesn't narrow to one person on its own. What it does do is put the piece in a bracket. Here is what signed Toledo silver and turquoise actually closed at on eBay in the last 90 days, dates included:

Median of those seven is $159, and the spread is entirely about size, stone quality and whether the smith is known by name. So the Fritson Toledo idea upthread isn't far fetched at all, there is a Fritzen Toledo cuff in that list that closed at $279.99 four days ago.

@Marko if you can get a sharper photo of the mark itself I'll run the exact spelling and post whatever comes back.

 

That's what I thought.

Turquoise can be a very saturated colour, just like most gemstones. And many types of turquoise have a brown matrix, it all depends on the stone it is found in.

 

Tags, you are allowed to post ebay links here. In fact it helps if we see them, so we can check if styles and techniques are a match.
Fritson's style is related but not exactly the same, but then again, artist's styles evolve.

 

Any Jewelry, glad to, here are the six with links so you can check the styles and stamp work yourselves. One thing that jumped out: the $279.99 cuff's own listing title spells it FRITZEN Toledo, not Fritson, so the family of work you pointed at looks right even if the spelling is off by a letter.

Median of the six is about $159. Looking at them side by side the money follows the named smith and the size of the piece more than the stone does.

On the dyed stone question, I went looking for sold comps on dyed magnesite pieces so I could show the gap in dollars and came up empty for the last 90 days under that wording, so I am not going to pretend I have a number for it.
