Hi, my name is Ana and I am from Boston, MA. I started getting into antiques in 2020 when I started selling items on eBay that we had around the house.

In the attempt of finding new items to sell, my husband Andrew and I started getting into buying abandoned storage units.

One of these storage units was full of antiques, mostly china and glass. It turned out it was from an old antique shop/antique dealer.

It had so many different types of antiques. It was like being thrown into the deep end of the pool as an introduction into the world of antiques, but we loved it so much and learned about so many different types and categories of items.

Our journey hunting and selling antiques has change a lot over time. Now that we have acquired some knowledge, we have moved into selling in an auction format and have a small online auction business helping people with estates and downsizing. This has allowed us to help many people in different situations who have a wide range of antique, vintage and collectible items, and has helped us learn so much more working with them and their many unique pieces of history.

    ____________

I personally love art, fashion and any interesting or unusual piece. One of our personal collections are victorian mourning jewelry, each year we get a special piece for our anniversary.

We also love a good piece of pottery. Our mantle is decorated with with a variety of what we enjoy, like an early Wedgwood tea cup, antique Meissen pottery and Royal Worcester blush ivory.

Andrew is a composer, he has been slowly building a collection of antique classical music ephemera and has started posting it on his music website.

I am grateful to have found such an amazing community and love the old fashion forum style. It feels very nostalgic and less invasive as social media is now a days.

I have already talked to some of you and I see that there are many knowledgeable and kind people here. I look forward to contributing as much as I can and talking with you all more!

I leave some images of some from our personal pieces.

    Best,
    Ana (& Andrew)

You hit the jackpot on that storage unit right from the start, way to go.

Is that a Herend cache pot in your first photo? it's gorgeous. The cup/saucer set are also exceptional.

it is a Meissen of Marcolini period. I love the faces and inside the pot there are little bugs painted. I'll take better photos next time :)

The cup and saucer set is a wedgwood trembleuse, better known as chocolate cup, sadly missing the lovely cover :(

Welcome! We've been getting hit with AI fake humans recently. It's great to get "hit" with human junquies!

I don't sell any more, but I wandered home once with a treen music stand. It folds down into about a 2x2x12. How they did that I have no idea. A few music head friends locally have dibs on it if I ever decide to cut it loose.
