yes i am asking who you think would be teh most likely maker(1990's) and because a want to do use that specific bag for a cosplay of Lewis Dodgson.

 

I am looking for the most likely maker based on teh style it doesnt have to be THE exact one but it has to be real close.

 

You can buy second hand leather Gladstone bags in second hand shops, charity shops or selling venues online. Afaik they are all good. Just look for one that is a similar size, the same colour and the right price for you.

 

I see Mulberry has made similar but suspect they'd be a bit pricy. You might just want to search online sales sites, such as eBay and Poshmark, to find the one that comes closest. The color is Burgundy, if that helps.

The good thing about gladstone bags is that they're pretty cheap (or at least I have found them to be so).

I owned one for years (until I sold it a few months ago) that I bought at an antiques shop as a child. It was just $20 back then, and it was a great weekender bag for years.

 

thanks i appreciate it, but everywhere i look, wherther it is ebay or poshmark, i can come REALLY close but the handel is on teh sides instead of attached to teh top like in the film.

 

There are plenty of single-handle Gladstones (the one I owned was a single-handler) you just gotta be patient and search.

Trust me, there's NO shortage of these bags. They were the 1800s equivalent of the roll-on cabin-bag today. You just gotta know exactly what you want, and hunt for it.

And use different terms.

Gladstone bag, doctor's bag, kit bag, gatemouth bag, etc, etc, etc.
