I got this little set of brass ducks at a recent auction because I thought they were so cute. They are not marked. Were they made in India?

The mama duck and the smallest duckling are solid. The other ducklings have a place to screw something into the bottom. Do you know what this is for?

Should I polish these? with Brasso?

    So sweet.
Maybe mama duck and the smallest duckling are one set, and the four others another? Mama duck and the smallest duckling seem to have more pronounced eyes, the other ones just have dimples for eyes.
Or the four are actually two pairs?
The tray is not part of the set imo, or did you just use it for display.

Forgot to say, I think they are Southeast Asian, maybe Thailand.
And they could be geese rather than ducks.
No need to polish the ducks/geese imo. Maybe polish the tray.

The Tray came with the geese, that was the way the client had them displayed. I'll be selling them as a set so even if they're from different sets, they all seem to get along well together. Southeast Asia, I can go with that. Thanks for the info. As for the screw holes on the bases of 4 of them, I don't know what to make of that so I'll just show it and say nothing. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I'll have to come up with a price. I think they're cuter than Christmas! Maybe they can stay her for a while.

This vintage brass duck family with an oval display tray is generally worth between $45 and $95 as a complete set on online marketplaces. [1]
The exact value varies based on where you choose to sell it and its condition:
    Value Breakdown
    • Individual Figurines: Individual vintage mid-century brass ducks or ducklings typically sell for $12 to $25 each depending on their size. [1, 2]
    • The Engraved Tray: A solid brass decorative platter or valet tray on its own is valued around $20 to $40. [1, 2]
    • The Complete Set: Bundling the large duck, five ducklings, and matching tray together maximizes the price, making it highly appealing to collectors of Mid-Century Modern (MCM) or cottagecore decor. [1, 2]

I just did a google search and found this.

Ditto.:wideyed: Mind you, the price of copper has gone up considerably, so there is that. Ditto for the price of oil, thanks to the troublesome twosome wreaking havoc in the Middle East, so transport from Asia is more costly too.
    Ditto, they are supercute.
