I saw this at an estate sale. It was approximately 6" or 7" tall. Murano or ??? Thank you.

It's not Murano, it's probably ???. These are a favorite of glass artisans everywhere. I have several myself and they look very pretty with votives. I got most of mine at craft shows from local artisans. You just take a square of glass, soften it up and shape it into these handkerchief votives.

Thank you. I thought it was priced high and didn't want to take a chance. He said it was Murano but I had my doubts.

Pam beat me to it; I found one in black with a carnival finish once that was signed. Never did know by whom. I was told it was made for a Yarhzeit candle, which indicates it wasn't Murano. It's a Jewish custom to light candles for deceased family or other loved ones right after they die and on certain holidays. This one is probably just "for pretty".

Most do, but you apparently can get fancy ones too. They also make some that plug into the wall.

You could do an Ebay search for "Handkerchief Vase" or "Fazzoletto Vase" and possibly get lucky and come across one like that with an ID.

Thanks, "Fazzoletto" is a new word for me. I did search ebay before posting here using Handkerchief and didn't see anything that looked like this glass.
