Rough age of this fishing rod?

    Wondering if anybody can give me a rough date of when this rod could have been made. It's 48" long and made entirely out of steel. No Mark's on it at all as far as I can see.

    Thanks for the reply Wisc. The value of it is little concern to me. The handle is Cork and the metal poles are pretty much fused together.It came with an inglis shakespear true blue attached to it but that was in great condition compared to the rod itself. I'm just trying to find a rough age

    I would guess, since it is very similar to ones my father grew up with, that is would fall between the end of The Great Depression and the start of the US entering WWII.

    30's to early 40's for a steel rod and cast thumb grip reel handle. Late 40's to 50's the thumb grip reel handels were starting to be from cast aluminum.
