3 Old Antique Pots

Bought these cause I thought they were different, and have names on the bottom.

1 pot says No 3 J & J Siddons Full Top? West Bromwick 2 pints

The next says Clarks Patent No 2 1 1/2 pint. Has white enamel inside

The last says T & C Clark Pat No 1 and has a lid. SHould I wash these or leave them as is?

 

They look pretty funky...as is ! IMO...

 

If you Google the Siddons stuff and Clark stuff, you get some interesting background on the companies.

I think these would be great accents in a rustic or an industrial décor... RARE that those two styles are compatible!!!!!

 

It reminds me of the things they use for smelting.

 

Here is a picture of die casting that uses the same thing I mentioned above. A pipe fits into the handle to keep some distance from the heating source.

West Bromwich rather than Bromwick. Those looks like crucibles to me.

 

I found this, not the same but similar.

The only crucibles I have seen did not have attached handles. A handle could be attached by placing a ring that is on the end of handle around the crucible. Since we're in different countries, that might just be a difference in terminology, like car boots and bonnets.
