Found this little beauty out thrifting yesterday for 40 bucks. It looks empire to me, not sure of age or country of origin. The base is inlaid with floral design. It looks like a center table, but it is only 23" tall, 30" wide. Any info would be most appreciated. TIA....Also this is crazy heavy.

    Base looks Colonial Indian.

Beautiful ! I also thought maybe Anglo Indian ,but I fear its been cut down by some nimrod to use as a coffee table. That being said,it would make a great coffee table !

I think the size is OK - I've seen Georgian ones of similar proportions.

What does it look like underside where the top meets the base?
Need to see some of the hardware as well, please.
Might just be an occasional table. 30" diameter is not very big.

Might be older, or it might be 1950s Italian.

Forgot to say - it's a nice table that should sell. People are looking for smaller tables.
    Good buy for $40.

Looks like a 20th century Anglo-Indian card or game table. Nice inlay for $40.00.

I added pics of the underside...don't think it is 20th century due to the amount of dark oxidation on the wood.

Thanks for the added pictures. I see a lot of things that I'm not familiar with. The wooden screw is interesting.

I think you are correct, it is older. Whether it is all original, or cobbled together, I can't say. I'm going to let others give you better info than I can.

It's still a nice table and usable, whatever it turns out to be.

Not really anything I am familiar with. Could see how this could be Anglo-Indian. I am a bit puzzled by the darker wood structure underneath where the column meets the top. Is this a repair?

Is not american, all i really know for sure. Not sure on the feet, they may not be original to the piece.
