What are these

What are these. They are at least form the 1950's. I think they made be brass but not sure. No markings. Each weigh between 1 to 1-1/2 lbs.

Wow, that was quick. Thank you. I've had these about 15 years ansd always put them away. Nobody could figure them out. We alway thought a trinket box but they seemed a little crude. Again, thanks and have a great day.

Would I be right that the tall one is a rooster and the small one a hen.

 

I would vote for peacock and peahen...

It helps that my son-in-law is Indian and I see a lot of stuff at their house that his parents bring them from India.

 

Found one on the internet and they called it a turkey - no idea about the smaller one

 

They might think it's a turkey, but Gila is right - peacock & peahen. I don't think there are turkeys in India

 

The smaller one is a peahen without a doubt. The peacock looks like it was mad by someone who'd never seen one in person.

 

Or made by anyway. Thus the ergonomic keyboard makes typoes of us all....
