Still working 70's or 80's maybe Viking Range - can not locate serial number - can not identify model on Vintage Viking Ovens - neat push button presets for stove and oven - Vintage look, 2 prong (not grounded) plug on range for say toaster etc - looking for Model type and possible year of range of years?

Wasn't Viking an Eaton's brand? Very often store brands are just that - specially made by the big makers for the department stores. More than likely made by Moffat or one of the others.

Viking was their house brand for appliances of all types, from radios to refrigerators. I say "was" because after 130 years in operation, Eaton's filed for bankruptcy last year, and most of the assets were bought out by Sears Canada, in 1999.

    I think 1940s.

In the house I grew up in, built in 1956, the cook top had push buttons. I think anywhere from 40s to early 60s is a possibility.

Thank you all - the Viking thing is what caught me off guard - I kept looking and seeing Viking did not start until the 1980's and yet
it clearly the Stove/oven looks a lot older - still working (you can see the light on) - I really figured period pieces in movies or TV needing props would a least want it, but I could not even date it - likely a Eaton's brand name, now it will be who actually made it and stamped it Eaton"s - could be the Curtis manufacture noted above - In my stupidity I never thought of Eaton"s (I still use my Grandfathers Push Yard mower 1930's an Eaton's push lawn mower

It was apparently a 90 plus year old mans house - shut in - no updates since early 70's - the kitchen fridge, also still working, is an old Coldspot (quit manufacturing IMG_20191231_132325.jpg IMG_20191230_094933.jpg in 1974) but has little character

    Hi,
I had a 1937 stove and oven that was still working in perfect order. I put the stove up for sale on eBay with a pick up only. The dang thing weighted almost 300 lbs. A couple came and bought it like an idiot I accepted their check. It bounced a week later of course:eek:. It was written on a very old account which had not been used in a year. The owner of the account died and had no relatives. The police asked me if I had remembered their truck license number. I guess I so excited about the new kitchen remodel that I was glad it was gone.
