Input from anyone appreciated!

    This old unglazed pitcher was in my mother's collection, and I have not been able to find any information on an item that is even similar. It is 9 inches tall, the body of the pitcher is 6 inches in diameter at the widest part. It weighs a little over 3 pounds. I would appreciate any ideas anyone can come up with!

    It seems heavy for its size! Looks like it is cold painted...
