This bottle stands 7" tall including the stopper. The bottom is signed OF LW 155? Any idea of maker or where can I start looking?

yes it is orrefors. I'm trying to think of the LW name for the initials. I have had a piece with those initials and seem to remember items with his initials are very sought after. Let me google a little

Ok.....cancel that......I was thinking of Vicke Lindstrand and it's not him. I have had a piece with those initials. I just can't place it though

    Vicke Lindstrand

Worked at Kosta from 1950-1973. As mentioned before, with the arrival of Lindstrand at Kosta, a more uniform way of signing glass was introduced. Pieces designed by Lindstrand are signed in the following way:

LH – Items produced by the glassworks in large quantities, starting with the model number 1001. There are however some unique items with this signature. These have the letter “U” added to the signature.

LU – Unique items by Lindstrand, starting with the number 2001.

LC – “Colora” pieces, starting with the number 1.

LF – Bird figurines starting with the number 1.

LG – Engraved glass, starting with the number 101.

LS – Cut glass, starting with the number 501.

Since about 1950 mass produced pieces are signed with the square-shaped acid stamp “Lindstrand Kosta”

I am wondering if this is LW or a U with its little tail. But then that doesn't jive with the 155 number.

    Just an idea here...

I have a LOT of Orrefors crystal - I've collected it since the late 1970's.

Since the mid-1990's or so, any time I have ever had a question about a particular item, I have emailed Orrefors in Sweden & asked.

It can take up to a couple of months, but you'll eventually hear back from them. Over the years, they have sent me everything from artist info to original brochures from when the item was produced. I have yet to be disappointed by their customer service!

Thanks, I'll think about it. That's a long time to wait.
