I am getting ready to list this cool old kerosene lamp - for use on buggies, bicycles, or even automobiles. It was apparently made in brass, and nickel plated brass. Is this one brass, or is it nickel plated brass with the nickel worn off?

Well, technically, IF it was Nickle plated brass and all the nickle wore off then it's now brass!:)

So I guess this is it, but I still don't know what kind of metal mine is.

I think if you include that ad in the auction, and state up-front the question... people should know what they're bidding on. In a few of those links I saw, the sellers didn't even hazard a guess about the metal.
