    Hi,

I am kind of new to the world of antiques and am wondering if anyone could give me some information on this table. I'm not sure exactly what it is or how old it might be.

    Thanks in advance!!

It was made for pipe smoking. Beyond that you've got me.

That's what I was thinking too. No one seems to recognize them any more.

It would be easier to see anything if you took the pictures with your back to the light.

Was it only my father who's first lesson in photography was 'don't shoot towards the sun'?

Unless it is for deliberate artistic effect, ensure the object is well lit from a light source behind you and there is no light source behind the subject.

    Welcome to the forum.
I think your stand is missing the rails around the top.
    See this one.
