    British coronation spoon, London, 1911, made by Saunders & Shepherd for the coronation of George V...

    Looks like a copy of the coronation anointing spoon. Lot made over the years.

    Yup, produced in sizes from salt to serving - I have them from 1901, 1911, and 1953, even one in gilt brass with a bit of enamel...

    They were popular in Canada too, and were imported to the U.S. as well...

    Those spoons really have a front and a backside.

    I wonder if the original designer was having a bit of a laugh.

    I think it's supposed to be a leaf shape, but a lot of leaves are kinda butt-shaped, so....
