This egg is about 4 inches long, about the size of a large avocado.

    I don't know a thing about it.

If you google - milk glass Easter egg - you'll see lots of examples. I think they were mostly from the Victorian era, surprising how many have survived.

Now that I have a more accurate description, it was ridiculously easy to find many examples on ebay as well.

Wow! Can anyone really sell those eggs for $40?? I'm lucky if I can get $20 and even then, the painting has to be almost pristine. Another example of how these other sites advertise prices that are twice ebay and maybe even realize those prices.

I don't know how much that Easter egg weighs as I have never had one, but the seller has free shipping so I would take a guess that they added in the cost of the shipping to the item itself.
As a rule tho, I find many things go for higher prices on etsy. :p:D

They are blown glass so not heavy at all. I do better with the smaller blown eggs, called Laying Eggs I think. Peeps like to display those in the wire egg baskets. But these are harder to sell. I think the large eggs are charming.

I have one of those Easter eggs given to me when I was a child by an elderly neighbor of my uncle. I also have one of our glass hen size eggs that we put in the nests to get the chickens to lay. I can't imagine even with shipping that person is going to get $41 for that egg. If they do, I'll sell mine!

I think you mean "nest eggs". I have one of those as well.

Check McKee and Eagle for the emerging chick egg. Those are not seen every where but still must be considered available for a modest hunt.
