Gilt Spelter Cow Head Inkwell Holder

    With an inkwell, I would expect to see a pen rest. I wonder if it was intended to use as a condiment stand when serving beef, maybe horseradish and something else??

    Hi,
    Without the pen rest I also guess a condiment tray. I have a similar ink stand only the animal has a head of horns and covered ink pots.
