    Northwood's 'Alaska' c1897
    AKA: Button Panel
    there's some confusion on this pattern as some have attributed it as the "Shadow" pattern by Coudersport c1900; problem here is that Coudersport didn't exist before 1900 and this form is shown in an 1899 Butler catalog.

    I did not pay attention of the pattern before.
    The exterior has horizontal ribs

    The interior diamonds like pattern

    And when they overlap we have this

    Thanks. Alaska it is. Seems like that color sells for cheap.
    By the way, is the bowl mold blown or pressed? I guess the later.

    Looks like it has an opalescent top on it - does the ruffled part glow "pink" in the sunlight?

    TallCakes---Couderport was incorporated in 1848.

    several references mention Coudersport as starting in 1900. Just report what I see with no claim to being an expert.
