Featured White crockery set with gold striping

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by Johan Derkesen, Jul 6, 2016.

  1. Hello everybody,
Another questionmark for me. Who made this and when? Knowing more or less where it came from I'd say more than 50 years old, but I could be way off. The coffeepot is about 21 cm. high. All suggestions are welcome.

The only thing I found that resembles the shape of this set was Mikasa china . Its vaugely deco - ish , so it could be 1930s or 80s . Thats all a guess , very pretty set . It doesnt look like it was ever used . I wonder if it was for chocalate ?

    Hi Johnny,
The pouring spout would be much higher if for chocolate. Low spout for tea, higher if for coffee and highest for chocolate.

Whenever I see those incised or stamped numbers I always think German. Why I don't know, and I don't know if I am even correct.

    Maybe 1930s?
