    Hi,

I was digging through an elderly relatives loft the other week as she had passed away. She used to be an antique dealer but retired around 20 years ago. there were many old items in her house but this particular one intrigued me a little.

I can't find any info from Google but have seen the same pattern and colours used in the Gucci Anniversary collection. I don't even know what this small case is used for, although I would hazard a guess at it being either a cigarette or a playing card case. It's not in the best condition it has ever been in but i'm wondering if anybody here knows what it is and could give me some more information on it?

Here are the pics, I couldn't upload them to this site as the files were to big! http://imgur.com/a/k28xU

    Many thanks

Looks like two different items by the shape of the tops.
Not an antique and I would say its a cigarette case.

You don't give dimensions but almost certainly a cigarette case. 1970s I would say, from when things started to go wrong in GUCCI-land. And you're right re Anniversary Collection. An old logo that someone's hauled out of archive and freshened up.

    "Vintage," not "antique."

I agree with the others to vintage 1960s-1970s - not antique. I do think these pics are all of one item. The opened end with the Gucci logo is the lid open at the top of the cigarette case.

You need to crop and resize your pics **before** uploading for them to fit into a message. Your pics

    Weight-wise: range from about 800KB to 1,000KB
Dimensional-wise: 3,024px wide X 4,032px high with the website scaling them down to 680px wide X 907px high.

Before uploading to this site they really should not be over
    Weight-wise: 50 to 200KB
    Dimensional-wise: around 650px wide X 700px high.

I took the liberty of cropping and resizing your pics for them to be seen in this thread. Many many people do not like to take the trouble of clicking an unknown link to see pics.

The following pics range from 350px to 650px wide and weight-wise: 23 to 34KB.

Most certainly not trash. A GUCCI collector could very well be interested.
