Bronze Budai statue - seeking info

    This was purchased at a Goodwill auction in Austin, TX for $25 in 2017.

    Dent on the head, paint in great condition and inscriptions on bottom.

    3.5” tall, 3.5” wide at base, 2.875” front to back of base

    Does anyone have ANY info on this?

    Who Knew ?

    Budai is a semi-historical Chinese monk who is venerated as a deity in Chinese Buddhism and was also introduced into the Japanese Buddhist pantheon.
