I recently bought a Basin and wash pitcher at the auction but I noticed it didn't have any signature. Does anybody know what that could mean.

Well, Rob, not everything is signed...

Can you show us some photos? Maybe someone can ID your set from the pictures. (Be sure to include some shots of the BOTTOM of each piece - even without any marks, the way they're finished can sometimes identify the maker.)

    Very pretty, Rob!

Give it some time - Saturday night is not the "busiest" time here.

I'm sure someone will be along who knows about these things better than I do...

If you took a good picture from the side, against a plain background, you might get lucky with an image search.

I think your piece may be 1970s or later , when country decorating was all the rage . These wash sets were produced in the millions , every house had one before plumbing . Only ones made by the higher end firms still actually sell , and not nearly for what they used to .

    Hi,
I agree that these are later. The older ones did not have the spray painted decorations. They were originally made in all kinds of plain to extremely decorated. They broke easily and were just everyday pieces.
