Greetings to all antiquers! This is my first post. I recently inherited a bunch of things that I know nothing about so I may be pestering you a lot.
Unfortunately I'm not very good with photos so we'll see how that goes.
Thanks for ANYTHING you can tell me about this old bottle. I expect it's 100 years old or more.

Well this is something my mom {born in 1912} kept so I thought it might be valuable. It does seem rather unique to me. I wonder what is was for?

There is no wear on the bottom rim which suggests it is less than ten years old. Better wait for the experts.:bag::bag:

Our 'glassies' will say something more definitive, but to me it looks like what it is for is to be decorative. Also looks pretty modern. Unless mom started collecting very early, why would it be 100+ years old? Did she always buy antiques for herself as an adult?

I do know that it was displayed in my mom's house since 1977 when she moved to Arkansas. Before that, I don't know.

My grandfather {born in 1891}did collect antiques and I suspect that is where it came from.

To be antique it would need to be from the Edwardian period or earlier. It simply does not look like glass ware of that period. What it does look like is one of the large, inexpensive, imported glass vases that were being sold in stores that carried home furnishings around the time mom moved to Arkansas. I have something of the sort from then. Did mom redecorate when she moved?

It's a satin glass vase, not a bottle.

Time period either 1930s/40s or maybe 1970s. I'm thinking the latter, because of the bottom, but I'm not positive.

I don't recognize this at all.
    Are you in the US?

Yes I am in the US. I do have a lot of Dutch ancestors but I doubt if they'd bring that from Holland.

    Agree, not from Holland.

It might have been something made for the florist trade. Not available to the general public.
