I believe the pattern is Asiatic Pheasants. You could check the potteries site to narrow down the maker as there seem to be a couple possible makers using similar initials.

I'm not at home so can't access my books at the moment and am stuck using my phone which isn't my strong point. Someone else may know.

Maybe look at Clyde Pottery Co. Ltd

I'd love to see the marks on that plate, because, so far, I'm not buying that it's Arabia.

Agreed, and incredibly, they didn't show it on that site!

That's the same as the other page, translated.

Posted because it was in English and a different piece - why do you doubt it's Arabia?

So someone has to ask: modern Chinese repro? No country of origin. Pictorial resembles Barker Bros or Barker & Kent, but initials are incorrect. Initials resemble Clyde Pottery but not quite the same.

Agree, "not quite the same." According to Godden, Campbellfield Pottery Co. of Scotland (1850-1905) sometimes used the initials C.P. Co., C.P. Co. Ltd., and C.P.C. Ltd., but again not quite the same either. Godden has the marks of Clyde Pottery listed as CLYDE, GREENOCK, G.C.P. Co., C.P. Co., and G.P. Co. G. I could find no British pottery marks of C.P.C. Co. With Godden not having the mark of C.P.C. Co. seems to me sealing the thought not British.

Petra Williams' 3 volumes of Staffordshire ROmantic Transfer Patterns had no "Asiatic Pheasants" pattern by a C.P.C. Co. or by either Campbellfield Pottery or Clyde Pottery.

Here's Google's English translation of the 1st page link from GG's #5 reply. Like someone noted it's the same as the link by Cheryl.

I am surprised at how many different makers used essentially the same floral surround with the pattern name.

Clyde Pottery is one of those examples where Godden shows a couple of marks and then says "several printed or impressed marks of differing design".

The center motif on OP's plate differs considerably from that on the McClean dessert plate, as do the rim motifs, but if OP's plate is a different size that might account for it.

If this is Clyde Pottery, I agree that the Asiatic Pheasant site would probably welcome a photo of the mark. And they may be able to confirm one way or the other.
