Candle Holder from India?

Morning,

Any idea how old or country of origin on these? Im pretty sure its India, but there is no mark anywhere on them that I can see. Not sure what the base is made from other than something heavy. These weigh a lot. Brass or copper metal makes up the holder itself.

Those don't look the least bit Indian but... as a courtesy, would you be sure in the future to post better quality photographs of the objects you'd like identified?

Clock garniture, possibly French. Slate based.

 

Has the look of a ewer-shaped item, from what I can see in the rather too close picture. Not a candleholder, not from India.

 

It's missing its pair. Two ewer shaped bronze or more probably spelter ewers on slate bases flanking a slate clock with probably some kind of urn or figure on top. Classical Revival 19th C and all that. Google on bronze ewer clock garniture and you'll find loads of them.

 

Thank you all! Knowing that this was part of a clock set makes me believe they were produced here in Connecticut USA. I found very similar ones for sale made by the Ansonia clock company and the new haven clock company....They look good as new bookends on mantle.
