I got this at an auction find for a whopping $2. They say it is from the 1880's. Not sure if there is any value with this piece or not. I currently have it listed on resale sites for about $50. Not sure if that is too low or too high. Any insight?

The Made in Scotland stamp was put on after 1921 for export/import to the US.
1890 McKinley Act stated country of origin needed to be on an item for import into US
1921 Act says must have "Made in" added.

Some one will correct me if I'm wrong.

Over here, not a great deal. YMMV.

Around here it wouldn't sell for much of anything if it sold at all. On line, who knows.

Check sold listings on ebay. Some with advertising (whiskey jugs) have sold, but not for much.
