Edwardian Ring?

    This was in my late grandmothers collection. It's stamped 10k and a makers mark CID. I'm not 100% sure on the makers mark. I'm thinking 1910's?

    It doesn't read Edwardian to me, but styles have been copied. If the stone is real, a maker from the era would have used a higher karatage of gold.

    I looked up CID which is the signature for Clyde and Duneier Inc., in business since 1910... The ring does look like it dates older than that though.. so I'm confused. Maybe i'm reading the makers mark wrong or this was a copy of an older style... The stone is a very light blue. Looks like aquamarine to me.

    You'd need to test, but older rings are typically silver prong set to show off the stone. If it's platinum set, it will be a bit later: 1930s ish.

    The stone looks brilliant cut, which would also make it later.

    Yes the stone is brilliant cut and it's set in the same 10k yellow gold
