What Is This Dog Figurine Made Of

    It is not wood, not resin, not clay... What it is? And why is it so beat up?

    Looks like the pressed sawdust that was used in the 40s.
    Looks like it got wet.

    Interesting. Very possible to be a sawdust and glue mixture.
    In that rough condition I guess min. value.
    What's the breed by the way?

    I don't think I would call this composition
    This is more like Syroco Wood, which is a composit of sawdust with pulp.

    When you speak of composition for dolls, it is a more refined process.
