    Hello!
I found all of these in a single house after being given permission from the owner to take whatever I want as the house was going to be demolished with everything inside:nailbiting: The only one with a "name" on it from what i saw is the first one (green one), it says "ART" on the frame parts. Any idea how old these are? I plan on keeping them, but are they worth anything? Thanks!

    Can you get back in?
You should take the doors. If not the doors, at least the door knobs.
What did the lamp fixtures look like?

I like the first one, very unusual. Not what you normally see in an iron bed frame.

I expect who made them for the most part isn't important. Except from maybe the green one.

Someone I know has already claimed the doors, but I didn't ask why he wanted them, why did he? I will get the door knobs though I already had my eyes on them. They are a beautiful round white granite/rock looking material, clearly I am new to this and have no idea what they are other than good looking :) He only wanted the doors that were already off their hinges as they were in the best condition.

Because they are probably solid wood as compared to the crap they have today - all laminated plywood or laminated pressboard. Today a solid wood vintage/antique door could fetch 200$ and up depending on what kind of wood was used to construct it.

Here in CA old doors are very popular for a lot of different projects.

Old hardware from the kitchen, particularly glass drawer pulls. Some old locks. Lamp fixtures, kitchen cupboards with glass fronts. Kitchen sinks with back splash

The one door in the bedroom shows a white porcelain door knob.
This door appears to be in decent condition

In a house like that, if you can pry it loose, grab it. Fireplace mantels, any old stone, etc. It all sells handily. In good shape, it goes into another house. If damaged, someone messes with it and makes it into something else.

Hey everyone - take a good look at the photo to the right of Nikole posts. That is the future of antiques. :D:D:D:D:D

The above statement says it all. Who among us hasn't at some point stood staring at something thinking to yourself I have no idea what it is or who made it but I am truly in love with this....:smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin:

The third one I think is more 1920s , but the others I think are more 1880-1900 . I love all of them ,but especially number 2 .

I was fortunate enough to be raised by someone who also appreciates old things :) my dad asks for or buys people's old barns that are falling and he salvages all of the wood. All these bed frames come from a house owned by a guy who is barely older than me, he doesn't realize what he has. Sadly there are family photos and pieces of homework from 1946 that are going to be burned down along with the house): I Might make a post for something else I found there that I thought was very interesting

    Hi,
I used 10 doors from a house that was being demo'd for wainscoting in my dining room. It looked fabulous. All I had to do was fill in the holes from the knobs. After installing and painted, it looked like it was original to the house.

Hi, Nikole. Welcome to the right place for answers.

Sorry, I can't help on value of those really neat metal bed parts, but the blue and white 4x4 should bring about 10 grand depending on mileage. ;)

Nice finds! I think Johnny has this right. The one that is headboard only is 20s or so. the rest are turn of the century. Value is down from what they used to bring. The first one is the best. I think here in the Midwest, a few hundred at retail assuming double size. Less if it is a twin. #4 is the second best with the combination of brass and iron. Maybe a couple hundred (does look to be a double?). #2 would be $150.00 tops (Twin?). The headboard only, maybe $50.00. These would go for less at most auctions or other wholesale venues. You might get a bit more in big cities or other higher end locations.

Awesome, thank you! I am most excited about the Green one as well and i'm super happy that it has all of the parts. I would like to repaint all of them. To get the old paint off would sandblasting be okay or should I do something more tedious?

Are these going to be kept for your own use or are you planning on trying to sell any of them? If you are keeping any of them, then cleaning & repainting will be fine. (Wait for others to tell you the best way.) If you are planning on resale I would leave them in as found condition. Less work for you & I would think more money because some folks don't want the cleaned up look. JMHO
