Help Identify Chair please

    It obviously sits against the wall because back has no details. Seat top opens for storage. It has inserts on front of a type of veneer flaking off. No marks/names anywhere!
    #4535 stamped under seat top.

    Probably a carved hall chair used in a church with a storage space for hymnals. With the lack of religious symbols may mean it was used in a Protestant church. It may be considered of the Eastlake period (1870-1890s) or at least late Victorian. I am terrible on IDing woods and dating them from pics. Do wait for more knowledgeable furniture folks to chime in. Here is an example of a hymnal church storage chair.

    Renaissance Revival so likely toward the earlier part of that time frame. Walnut with walnut burl veneer panel accents.

    Possibly a music box chair, missing the music box. Are there any screw holes where one could have been mounted?
