help identify two figures

Hi All
I came across in a shop rather two strange figurines...any ideas on their origins...Please find attached...

LOL....I can barely look at the first one....but I'm not help on either. Wait for others.

 

There are people on the boards that should be able to give you much better id's than I can but for your first figure try looking at Baule monkey figures. The last figure I think is supposed to be either Aztec, Mayan or Incan.

My first question on looking at the monkey was whether or not it incorporated actual body parts? Maybe it does (especially if it's Baule). I imagine it would take some arcane expertise to authenticate.

 

Those glass eyes look like they might be uranium glass. Do you have a black light to see if they glow?

 

No I didn't make any tests..it was in a shop..one strange thing about it is its sharp pointed tongue ..

Maybe a baboon because of the teeth? but definitely a monkey.
