My little snuff jar

    noflash.jpg withflash.jpg cooltop.jpg underlid.jpg themark.jpg I bought this at a garage sale many years ago. In researching the mark CHINA on the bottom I read this:
    As a general rule the plain "CHINA" mark came into use after 1891 when US federal law required all imports to be marked with their country of origin. The addition of "MADE IN" was required from 1919.
    Does anyone think this is accurate for this piece? Thank you

    Imo the quality just isn't there for an earlier piece.

    The block letter CHINA mark was used in to the 50s. I think your piece post-WWII
