Help identifying platform rocker

First thought was 80's. Nice chair,very visual. Is it comfy ?

 

Pretty comfy, but too large for me. My son is 5'10" and it fits him perfectly.

 

Do you have any ideas on maker or value of it?

 

Unusual chair that I have not seen before. I kind of get an artisan feel from it as opposed to it being a production piece. There was a lot of work that went in to this and, if a production piece, likely an Asian import. I think Johnny's 80s designation is probably about right. As to value, not being a known commodity, it is worth what you can get someone to pay for it. Here in my Midwest location, I would probably shoot for $100-150.00. You might do better in a different market, such as in large cities.
