Art glass piece - what would you call it? - who made it?

This came along in a box lot on Friday. Is it just a piece of art glass or is there a specific name for this form? It looks to be multiple layers of clear, shades of brown with aventurine highlights & white glass with a polished bottom. It is 7 1/4" to the top & is 7 1/8" across the top.

Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!!

Peggy

I know how I might use it -- as a holder for whatever size and color candle would fit and look best. I may be a bit at times.

I'd suggest a Votive open glass candle holder.....something along this line...

I found some similar!

GaleriaGila, the google guru................or in the vernacular - damn you're good, girl!!!

Thank you everyone!!!

It is interesting that the links that Gila posted all call it a vase. That is the last thing I would think it could be called.

Maybe I will dig around & see what kind of candle I can find so I can add that photo when it gets listed.

My thanks! And... my pleasure!

I agree... vase-schmace...
