This piece has a dining table that seats 8 and a side board or buffet table. It has been in my family for at least 60 years. cabinet 1.jpg cabinet 2.jpg

Nice stuff but what do you do with something like this these days? (other than keep it and enjoy?)

Yah it's not a good market to sell these beautiful pieces in.

Id guess 1910, give or take a decade . In fact Id venture to say most of what youve posted is around that time frame . But do wait for more informed posters.

I don't even know what to call the piece to look for it. They say China/Curio blah blah and nothing similar comes up. I would keep it and enjoy it (in the room I have yet to build onto my tiny house.) You will never get what it is truly worth monetarily in these times.

Someone apparently blackened the chairs over the years.
There are chinese rugs any every room. My brother thought this one was the worst. lol

I don't think the chairs were original to the table.
But hard to tell from your pictures. I could be wrong.

If you look at the feet and then the lions legs long enough and then compare them to the buffet and cabinet, the legs are part of the set. I don't have the buffet picture but it is nicer tan the cabinet in condition. I am not sure who recovered the chairs and painted them. Must have been several years back. I grew up eating dinner with these pieces in the 60s.

probably replacement chairs refinished in the nalgahyde tradition of the 1970s!

I happen to find a partial buffet pic. It is a three level glass buffet. bufett 201.jpg
