    There are at least a couple of thimble collectors here, I think. Can't remember who, for sure. I hope you get a useful reply on this one.

    If that second picture is the mark inside, could you try again to get a focused picture? I'd like to help, but can't make heads nor tails of what it is.

    I can't see a bear or anything else either - is the interior mark in the same place as the exterior '9' size stamp? Silver thimbles are typically marked either inside the top or on the outside...
