Japanese Hand Painted Porcelain

    I think these are are pre-war porcelain Japanese Plates.jpg Japanese saucer.jpg Red Plate.jpg IMG_1431.jpeg but not sure.

    Geisha Girl china. According to Wiki, totally hand-painted in the late 19th century. About 1920s they began stenciling the design and hand-painting the design (with varying degrees of skill apparently).
    Some are lithophanes, when a cup is held up to the light, an image of a geisha girl appears in the base.

    I had a huge collection of Nippon and early 1900s Japanese china at one time. I can't believe I've gotten rid of so much and I still have three china cabinets full of glass and china. I especially like that little footed bowl
