Delving into a Delft dilemma

Hi all,I recently purchased these little framed Delft tiles (3 1/2" by 3 1/2") from a thrift shop.

Upon studying them I think them to be tourist copies as they seemed to be printed rather than painted.

I was wondering whether anyone could confirm my suspicions?

Also if they are printed are they of any value?

I have included a picture of the documentation glued to the back, (which evidently prevents me from exploring the back of the actual tile).

Does the fact that the glued information is typed, date these to the 70's possibly?

    Many thanks in advance, Gen. IMG_0596.JPG IMG_0597.JPG IMG_0595.JPG IMG_0596.JPG IMG_0597.JPG IMG_0595.JPG

Yup, 1970s or so tourist souvenirs and almost no value, sadly.

If you had a couple of thousand of them you could tile your bathroom. The little dot effect identifies them as not only transfer printed, but relatively recent transfer prints. Earlier transfer prints were not produced photographically as these were.

Thanks for your input everyone. Lucky I didn't pay a fortune for them. ;)

Don't know where you are or how you had planned to sell these.
    I'm in CA with a B&M.

There are people who collect Delft windmills. They are as said souvenir pieces, but nicely framed. Most tiles are not framed. I would have these marked at $9-11 in my store.

Another thing to be aware of is that frequently Delft pieces marked hand-painted use decals for the central, fancy image, and only the broad, vague little splashes of color around the rim are painted.

    Thanks for the insight clutteredcloset49.

I'm located in Western Australia, so I do not know how well they will sell.

I will certainly advertise them as souvenir pieces, circa 70's and see how they go.

    Could I ask what a B&M is?
