English (?) Pitcher - Blue Transferware

Hello Everyone! I've got this unmarked pitcher that I'm thinking is 1890s'-early 1900's English transferware. It measures 7 1/4" tall and about 3" across the base. Can anyone confirm my dating and origin? Thanks very much for your opinions.

Possibly a little earlier - 1860s or so. Other than that, I agree.

 

Thank you, Ownedbybear! I really like the medallions in the mold along the top edge.

 

If you are on Facebook, there's a page called British Pottery and Porcelain. They will identify anything there and are even helpful with Continental pieces - they'll give you a link to someone who specializes in that category.

 

Don, I haven't any help on IDing this lovely pitcher, but do think like OBB that it is earlier. I found the following China reproduction of the same shape pitcher. Do note it has similar medallions or whatever on the side.

I agree, scary. That brown transferware one is by Two's Company. I went on over to replacements.com to see if that company has a blue & white one. Replacements didn't have any blue & white by that company. They only had Brown transferware and violet transferware. Of course that doesn't mean there isn't some out there.

As your pitcher has no markings and the brown one is marked, I feel yours is authentic.
