Hi Guys, can you help me with this please?

I bought it at an antique fair a few years ago. The original frame was battered and held together with tape so I re-framed it so I could hang it it. The back of the original frame piqued my interest therefore I kept it in order to do some research and today is that day - and I've drawn a blank! Nothing but cinemas lol.

Can anyone help me find info about London Picture House please? Also does anyone know what material its painted on? It was quite brittle and made cracking noises when I moved it. Do you think it's rice paper? Has an almost reflective quality, hope these pictures suffice.

TIL "From the 1830s until the end of British rule, Simla was the summer capital of successive Governors-General and Viceroys."

Also came across this which was relatively interesting https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smar...ucius-found-tomb-disgraced-emperor-180962358/

Thanks for any help you can give.

Thank you. Another rabbit hole to dive into. Would I be correct if I said this picture had been done in a gouache style? I’ve always wondered why the white was so white (in comparison to the other colours)?

The link I provided is done in gouache

It makes sense that it is silk. It looks like raw silk...but I have never heard it crunch before!
